Commercial Cleaning Jolimont

Jolimont is mostly parks and sporting facilities with only a small residential section, so the work here looks different to the rest of the western suburbs. Much of it is clubrooms, changerooms and community buildings rather than offices and apartment blocks.

The suburb takes in the Matthews Netball Centre, the Pat Goodridge Hockey Centre, Jolimont Primary School and a good deal of open space around Henderson Park and Mabel Talbot Park. Buildings like these get used hard in bursts, on weekends and through a season, then sit quiet. Changerooms, toilets and kitchens need turning around quickly between bookings rather than on a steady weekday cycle.

Jolimont is small and most of it is open space. Henderson Park, Mabel Talbot Park and the wetland at Jolimont Swamp take up a good share of the suburb, and the built area is dominated by the netball and hockey centres, the primary school and a handful of residential streets. The suburb is also split between two councils, with most of it in the City of Subiaco and the part north of Hay Street in the Town of Cambridge, which occasionally matters for who is responsible for what along a boundary.

Sporting facilities do not run on a weekday cycle, so neither do we. A netball or hockey centre is at its busiest on a Saturday and through a season, and the clean that matters is the one after the last game rather than the one on Monday morning. Where several clubs share a building, we agree at the start who holds keys, who locks up and what condition the building is handed over in, because that is where most arguments about cleaning actually begin.
